In addition, we take pride in our Fitness Classes & Martial Arts where you can unleash your inner warrior and develop new skills. From Crosstrainng to Fitness Boxing, Yoga, Core Boxing to Beginners kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to, our diverse range of classes caters to all interests and skill levels, we also have Junior kickboxing for ages 5-7 & 8-15.

Fitness and Martial Art Classes we Offer

Pilates

Pilates is a system of repetitive exercises performed on a mat or other equipment to promote strength, stability, and flexibility. Pilates exercises develop the body through muscular effort that stems from the core. The technique cultivates awareness of the body to support everyday movements that are efficient and graceful. As such, Pilates has been popular among dancers but it appeals to a wider audience. The Pilates Method was developed by Joseph Pilates during the 1920s. Pilates advocates tout the core-strengthening benefits of the method to improve posture and balance. Pilates targets the powerhouse muscles, which include the glutes, hips, pelvic floor, and lower back. Like yoga, Pilates encourages deep, conscious breathing and is widely used in rehabilitation settings. Yoga

What is yoga – this is in the general introduction Yoga developed as a spiritual practice in India around 5,000 years ago but it has since become recognised for its many physical and mental health benefits. In fitness circles we know that yoga can increase suppleness, stretching tight and knotted muscles, but it is especially good for bringing strength and fluidity to your joints, which all help prevent injuries and even reduce recovery time. Many different forms of yoga have emerged over the last few years. Classes at Hitio aim for a balance of strength and ease through flowing sequences, holding some poses and focusing on breathing. Yoga can smooth your movement, relax your mind and soothe the spirit to help you find that feel-good factor.

Crosstraining

Crosstraining is a fun class with lots of energy. This session is suitable for ALL, as exercises and workouts are scalable to your physical requirements. Crosstraining is a session focused on strength, endurance and technique. A workout will give you a full body workout developing your stamina and strength.

Core Training

Get ready to sculpt your core! This high-energy workout focuses on targeting and toning your abdominals, obliques, and lower back. Led by experienced instructors, this intermediate to advanced class incorporates various core exercises, such as crunches, planks, and leg raises, to challenge and strengthen your midsection. Achieve a lean and defined waistline while improving posture and overall body strength. Join us for a dynamic and intense ABS workout today!

Boxing

Boxing is a challenging and fun way to train. Learn basic footwork, how to throw a punch and the art of defence at one of our HITIO Gym boxing classes. In addition to being a martial art, boxing is also a really great way to get in shape. It makes you stronger and healthier while also building your endurance. Expect to break a sweat and feel your muscles burn!

Kickboxing

Kickboxing is an exciting martial art and training form that can be practiced in different ways. There is no limit to who can start doing kickboxing. The classes are really effective training, while being fun and varied at the same time. Kickboxing is often referred to as a the “calorie killer”.

Fitness Boxing

Fitness Boxing is a HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) class with inspiration from martial arts-inspired exercises. The purpose of Fitness Boxing is to maximize the training effect on a short workout. Through these exercises, you will develop both strength and endurance.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

BJJ is often considered the most effective 1v1 martial art, and a lot of what we practice is essentially geared toward self-defense situations. In this martial art, you will train with the traditional GI and focus on grappling, where the art lies in controlling and incapacitating your opponent and making them surrender by tapping out.

Tiger

The HITIO Tiger program offers children aged 5-7 years a focused training program for developing skills such as focus, collaboration, control, balance, memory, discipline, physique, and coordination in a motivating and fun way.

Junior Kickboxing

Introduce your young warriors to our Junior Kickboxing class! Led by experienced instructors, this fun and safe session is designed for kids aged 8 to 12 years old. Our Junior Kickboxing class focuses on teaching fundamental kickboxing techniques, improving coordination, and boosting confidence in a supportive environment. Through exciting drills and games, kids will develop discipline, respect, and teamwork skills. Join us to nurture your child's physical fitness and self-esteem while instilling a love for martial arts and active living.

I have been using Hitio Hoxton for over a year, having moved there from a previous gym. I find all of the staff really helpful , they are all very personable and I am treated as a valued member. The HIT classes are a good workout, the Personal Trainers are very good and will help you reach your goals, the equipment is well maintained and great for those looking to strengthen and condition. I lovely local, personal gym.

I've been a member at this gym for over 6 months now and would highly recommend it. The gym is spacious, always clean and usually not too busy so you can get on with your workout without waiting. There is plenty of modern equipment as well as showers, saunas and steam rooms. I've also done the beginners kick-boxing and abs classes, both are run by the brilliant Giannis who really knows his stuff and is a good motivator.

Such a great gym to go to - the team are friendly, inviting and always has great energy. The gym floor, equipment and facilities are always maintained and are clean for use. The variety of classes adds to having a good workout session, plus the use of the sauna and steam room is a lovely way to end it. Being provided with healthy snacks is a nice perk and I can not forget the amazing location of the gym being along Regents canal and the views you get to experience while working out on the dock outside of the gym in the summer time. It's all worth it if you live in the area!
